FAQs
I’m trying to get an Autism diagnosis for my child & I have no idea what to do next. Can you help?
We sure can! Regardless of what hoop you are needing to jump through, we can get you over the other side safely. We have years of experience in the entire process & can pick up wherever you have left off.
I don’t really believe in a diagnosis &/or labelling my child, but would still like to know what’s going on for my own peace of mind.
This is totally ok. We can still help you with whatever you would like to achieve - sans official diagnosis.
My child is refusing school & I don’t know what to do?
This is an extremely common issue for a lot of parents / carers & one that is very close to our hearts. You do have options. We can offer support regarding schooling vs homeschooling vs distance ed if this is something you are considering.
How do I get an NDIS plan?
If you have an Autism diagnosis, there is a chance that you will be able to access the NDIS for funding that will assist you in paying for therapies & other necessary supports. We can most certainly assist you in getting this underway.
I have no support network, I feel like I’m going to have a nervous breakdown & can’t do this alone. What can I do?
We are with you all the way. We can be your sounding board, assist you with anything related to Autism, NDIS, schooling etc… & if we cannot help in the way that you need, we will connect you with someone that can. Our goal is to provide you with the tools & support you need so that your mental health improves & you feel in control of your journey.
What is advocacy?
Advocacy means getting support from another person to help you express your views and wishes, and help you stand up for you or your child’s rights. Someone who helps you in this way is called your advocate.
